I just think there's a lot of room in between 'Boldy needs to be carried' and 'Boldy needs to carry guys like Hartman/Gaudreau/Johansson'. Let's just find a way to make Boldy a part of great, balanced forward line. Eriksson Ek coming back helps that.

Tons of room, not to mention boldy was a rookie when he was looking great as a "passenger" on the Fiala/Freddy line.

No disagreement there.

I wonder if there was interest on our end but none from Nyquist. I honestly have no idea.

It's really hard to make arguments about signing guys who ended up in other places. We have no idea if we tried or if there was any interest.

Nyquist would have been awesome, but I think it was a money issue. Mojo was cheap and Billy G couldn't afford Nyquist because he wanted guys like Treniyawn for 4 millions.

People need to chill with the negative connotation behind Boldy being called a complementary player. There's a reason players like Kap/Fiala work better with Zucc/Boldy than with another Kap/Fiala.
Ek got better once he moved on from those two but they were a great shut down line.
He, Ohgren and Stramel are going to be a super effective 3rd line pretty soon here.

I just think you go a little out of your way to downplay everything boldy related, that is why there is some push back.

People lose their minds at even a hint of trading their golden child on this forum. It’s more acceptable to talk a Kaprizov trade than a Boldy trade. Shit is crazy.

If I were pulling the trigger on players, Kap-Rossi-Boldy-Faber-Ek-Brodin and maybe Middleton would be players I would keep. Everyone else is spare parts. If you could trade anyone of the others to get younger or cheaper you do it.
I like most all of the Wilds players, but at end of the day, you have to make your team better. And you can’t keep all of them.

If I'm going scorched earth, everyone is on the table outside of kap(assuming he will resign here) and faber

Gus is just entering his prime, he's pretty young for a goalie. If you trade him, it could take a long time to get anyone better. And it could be a lot more expensive.
I'd rather keep him.

Kinda forgot about Gus….ya I’d keep him if I could too. But even out of my list, Kap and Faber would be kept. The others would have to work out trade wise. The rest not on the list a guy could replace fairly easy and usually at a cheaper/ better contract rate.

I'd trade anyone on the team for the right deal.

Does seem kind of funny that BG invested a lot of trade capital in a deal for an underperforming RHD when our biggest need is for some talent up front. It's easy to fool ourselves that we are a decent offensive team when Kap is in the lineup, but when he is out it's blindingly obvious that we simply don't have enough scoring talent.

I think the idea is that he’s building for the future and our defensive prospects mostly suck. We should be able to find some semblance of a top 6 out of Kap-Eriksson Ek-Boldy-Rossi-Yurov-Ohgren-Heidt-Ritchie in the future.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I’d show your posts, but they’re no longer here for some reason…

Don't gaslight me, a person with reasonable intelligence knows my contention was with you calling Tkachuk a difference maker and Boldy a complementary player, not with your crusade to trade Boldy

We literally saw Tkachuk be more of a difference maker yesterday on plays where he didn’t even touch the puck. He was in the heads of everyone, including our play by play guys.

Word on the street is Boldy is still trying to pass the puck across the offensive zone. He can’t seem to figure out why it keeps getting blocked, but maybe it’ll go through if he tries again!

He was in the heads of everyone,

No he wasn't lol

Faber was frustrating him all day long, he took a stupid penalty late in the third that a good team would have capitalized on, and his only point was an assist where he did even less than Boldy did on Faber's GWG in Dallas

But hey, you see what you want to see, everyone else will keep seeing what's really there
