We're putting Dougie Hamilton out there as potential trade bait for a top-pairing d-man signed past this season, we could add picks and prospects to make this happen.

Edit: or for a young promising C or W

Green, Erat, Laich, Neuvirth and Ward all available. Biggest needs are a top 4 d-man and top 6/9 wingers.

Still searching for a top 6 center. Have a few offers on the table but nothing real close. All picks and most prospects are available as well as young players such as Brandon Pirri and Jeremy Morin.

This.

For teams needing goaltending, Reimer is available but we want fair market value. We're equally happy re-signing him.

If looking for a playoff rental, we have Dion Phaneuf, Nikolai Kulemin, Paul Ranger, Mark Fraser, and Colton Orr available.

On a longer term, we have Carl Gunnarsson who could be had, as well as JML, Carter Ashton. Same with Cody Franson.

All in all, we're not doing a fire sale so we are looking to make moves that are beneficial both now and the future.

After careful consideration, we will look at trading Nazem Kadri if it makes sense for the team as a package for an impact player.

I'll be handling UFAs prior to Free Agency.

Many players will be testing free agency.

If you attempt to re-sign one of your UFAs, come prepared with a very compelling explanation with references and a strong monetary offer.

While admittedly a small sample size, Ilya Bryzgalov has provided stellar goaltending for the Oilers, posting a .936 SV% and 2.30 GAA prior to the arrival of Shea Weber. The Oilers will continue with Bryzgalov in goal till the end of the season to further assess his performance and enter into negotiations prior to Free Agency.

Our focus remains a strong, large, physical #2 center. If this player is available and we haven't been pestering you incessantly already, PM us!

Big news coming out of Toronto soon...

Also, James Reimer is still on the block but only for a deal that makes sense. If we don't have reasonable offers, we will be re-signing him.

Big Bad Broons Land 'The Dion'

Dion-Phaneuf-in-Redbull-cap.jpg

The Boston Bruins have solidified their cup chances by adding top-pairing d-man Dion Phaneuf. He will play in all situations and help out our PP allowing David Krejci to set-up along the half-wall instead of the point.

:canes are bored and know there isn't much to do with this roster.

We have some rental players that some of you may be interested in like Jiri Tlusty, Tim Gleason and Andrej Sekera.

Matt Moulson - Best offer remains a first round pick and a prospect.
Tyler Ennis - Several teams are inquiring, not going to trade him unless I get a good offer.

Jaroslav Halak and Drew Stafford remain available.

We are willing to consider offers on just about everyone, however some players will be much harder to get.

Willing to retain salary on all players with expiring contracts.

Leafs deal Phaneuf to rival Boston

The Toronto Maple Leafs did what many considered to be the unthinkable today, sending defenceman and captain Dion Phaneuf to the Boston Bruins.

"Dion has been a consummate professional, and we are going to sorely miss him for the balance of the season." Leafs GM TribalPhoenix stated in a press conference today from the Air Canada Centre.

In return for the Leafs captain, Toronto receives Boston's 1st round selection in the upcoming 2014 Entry Draft, as well as star goaltending prospect Malcolm Subban, and rugged defenceman Adam McQuaid.

"In another 1st round pick, we can continue to add blue chip talent to our prospect pool. Malcolm Subban is a fantastic goaltending prospect who could be our goaltender of the future, while we love Adam McQuaid's game and think he will be a fantastic addition to our club."

"Ultimately, we realized that Dion was planning on testing unrestricted free agency, and this is a team that needs work. He will get a chance at a Stanley Cup."
