GBU Tough loss in a game that kinda mattered (BUF-FLA)

Of course. Perfect time for an afternoon game. Get the kids to a game!

Did you read the post I quoted?

You also wrote 'Prevent them from being able to attend'. I assumed you meant that an afternoon game makes it so they couldn't attend.

Now maybe you meant stopping the afternoon games make it so they couldn't attend???? But I dunno.......

Perfect. Teams are taking away Thompson’s shot, so instead of making the simple, easy plays to loosen the defense, he needs to continue to try the hard thing because it worked before.
You can always go back to basics. I'm saying he needs to be himself in that he's had quite a bit of success doing just that.

Seems like he doesn't need to be putting pressure on himself other than his own ambition to be the best he can be.

Fact is if he or we expect him to have the same 2nd half as first half it's completely unrealistic.

If he ends up with 45 to 55 goals that's incredibly successful wouldn't you say?

When a player is struggling, the very best thing to do is simplify the game and make good, easy choices. That’s also the best way to reduce pressure on himself.

If defenses are focusing on him, move the puck fast. If he’s not getting goals, shoot when he’s got open shots. Don’t make the extra deke or try the fancy play.

That’s how you get a player out of a slump.

One thing in the last few games has been Thompson's commitment to defending has been very noticeable. His offensive side hasn't clicked but his coming back deep to support has been most welcome. He's worked to get both Skinner and Tuch involved and they've both finished plays off Thompson's stick recently. They are definitely getting more attention but his play isn't in total disarray.
