Panarin - x - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Laferierre
Moore - x - Armia
x - Helenius - Turcotte
I forgot the bot 6. 😂 Just fill out whatever odds & ends are left.

Turcotte is toast. And I’ve been one of his biggest supporters. It’s just not happening here. Go make some good money in Europe Alex.

We’ll probably see

Panarin-Byfield-Kempe
Fiala-Laferriere-xxx
Moore-Turcotte-Armia
Lee-Helenius-Ward
Byfield going to tank Panarin's production. 😂

I'm totally fine with Nurse. Hiring PL and trading for a guy like Nurse would show that maybe Robitaille has moved on from trying to build a team to win in the 90's and instead has figured out you can't be this one-dimensional in the modern era. Who cares what his cap hit is, the Kings won't be contending again while he's on the books anyways.

A commitment to playing a more modern style would be a nice first step in a loooong journey back to relevance.

Under contract for one more season. The tough thing for Turcotte now is that he is going to be on the wrong side of the age part when it comes to position battles with guys like Connors and Wright. Same thing for guy like Andre Lee.

Nurse is an idiot but he can skate, is faster than Dumedmunceci and at least can get the puck out of the zone. Playing him at a #4 isn’t the worse thing.

I totally forgot about Wright. I’d pencil him in on the 4th line over Lee.

Nurse's play looks like it took a nose dive this year.

Edmonton already has Ekholm and Walman on the left side. Doughty might fit in nicely.

Ekholm-Bouchard
Walman-Doughty
xxxxxxxx-Emberson

I'm willing to take on Nurse if we're getting paid for it.

People hate on Doughty for being overpaid so they want to bring on someone else that is overpaid AND is signed for 3 years longer.

Also, Ceci and Dumoulin lowered the bar so much Darnell freaking Nurse is starting to look appealing to some.

You’re tripping if you think people hate on Doughty because of money. Doughty would be good as a 2nd pairing dman and not as leadership.

The issue with doughty is deployment and his ego. It’s clear he’s a bad leader and the Kings cannot keep him on the team without acquiescing to that role. The money is a multiplier. If Doughty stayed in his lane I’d be happy. But there’s too much damage, too much failure, and it’s best he takes a crack at 2nd pairing on another team. No matter how you twist it, Doughtys time here should be done in a sensible world.

I'm not opposed to moving on from Doughty but moving on from one headache does not necessarily warrant bringing in another headache that's gonna last even longer.

Honestly, I am more worried about the damage doughty can do in the locker room than I am worried about what nurse is going to do on the ice. To me, Doughty is far more dangerous to keep around. What makes doughty dangerous is that he has pull. I cannot overstate how detrimental that is. We legit have to have top 5 the dumbest fans in the NHL. The fact they’re doing a fan event and giving out Kopitar bobbleheads to entice the common fan is indicative of a fanbase that has no self respect. Only a fanbase with very little self respect will attend such stupid events because Kopitar bobble head.

Doughty and Kopitar winning the cup gave them undoubtedly the most insane “do no wrong” card I’ve ever seen. They could have said f*** kings fans and they still worship them.

I want everyone from the “do no wrong” status completely gone. They were cancers that got everything they ever wanted to the detriment of the organization.

To come full circle, Nurse has zero power, no one likes him which makes me comfortable with acquiring him because our smooth brain fanbase will have no excuse to give him the insane rope these guys have had. I don’t even think hawks fans worshipped the ground Kane Toews and Keith walked while winning more cups the way kings fans do with doughty and Kopitar. It’s unreal and obsessive. The way Kings fans talk about Kopitar and Doughty is as if they’re like infallible gods.

Nobody WANTS to get Nurse. We're just resigned to the fact that it's probably going to happen. So, instead of ignoring that, we're looking at what that could mean, what we might be able to get from the trade, etc.

If Holland trades Clarke and the 1st to get him, you'll see a much different reaction than if you see him trade Doughty while Edmonton gives the Kings a 2nd and retains.

Starting to worry Philly is going to snag Nurse before Holland can make a move.

Oilers just don't want to move a defenseman of that caliber in division.
:(

I thought this was an LA Kings board?
Must be a bad connection on my side. There’s no way anyone in their right mind would want Nurse and that contract anywhere near their team. Thats just dumb. Even if it meant Ceci/Demo going the other way.
You wouldnt trade Dumoulin and Ceci for Nurse? I think he only has one more year on his contract than they do. I may do that if it was two for one. They have to find a way to move those 2. If they end up rebuilding it doesnt matter that Nurse has a year or two left anyway. Otherwise theres no scenario where I would want Nurse

I don't want Nurse anywhere in LA, but we are talking about Holland and Luc, so anything can happen. If they get Nurse, they better be getting Howard or Akey or a 1st with retention or a combination of those while sending Ceci or Dumoulin back. If not, then no deal!

It looks like Nurse wants to play on the east coast or somewhere else in Canada per Friedman.

It’s possible that Holland finds Nurse’s contract as too much for what the Kings need to do and Holland prefers flexibility. Unless Edmonton retains salary. I don’t see how a deal gets made.

I'm totally in favor of taking on bad contracts if we're getting paid for it.
