Question for Flyers fans, is this a normal thing he's been doing regularly and I've just never noticed. Is he trying to be the NHL's Belichick? I thought there was a dress code for coaches, guess not, but it just looks weird

Does it do every game? Years ago he did it in Columbus because he was sick. So very well may be the same reason, Torts is old school so I don't think he'd be the one to push the envelope here.

Oh ok, I missed that and could only ever picture him wearing suits in Tampa, NY, Can, etc. Maybe he's just gotten to that idgaf stage of life, lol, sure wouldn't put it past him

He’s too lazy to tie a tie anymore
Mabye, but I'd be even more confused if he was secretly wearing a shirt and tie under it, lol

For a guy who wants his players to always fall in line, he sure has an appetite for the spotlight himself.
Well and tbf his whole staff is wearing them too, exact same ones, so I'm thinking there's something I missed maybe in the pre game? Idk, I don't get it

If you don’t tear them down, you’ll never get credit for building them back up.
Torts is just old school, there's a method to his madness and there's piles of his former players that would kill for him. Quite a few that would like to kill him too though no doubt, he's a bit polarizing to say the least 😆

Ive never understood why players and coaches come to the rink in suits. They're going to a game, not a wedding. Coaches should be allowed to wear pajamas to games if they wish.

That was a thing for me in high school hockey- had to come to games in suits. Don’t gimme this “professionalism” shit, sport is expensive as is and they add that bullshit.

Let Torts wear whatever he wants.

Well tbf anyone who can afford hockey equipment can afford a cheap button up shirt, cheap tie and dress pants. And ya, it's absolutely about professionalism, why do you think businessmen have to wear them? Why does anyone ever for that matter then?

As long as they don’t look like total messes, who cares what they wear
Agreed to a point, but they all wear suits, all the time, so this just seems weird
