GDT: Toronto vs Flyers - March 25th 2025, TSN4

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Yes by the letter, but still ridiculous it's come to this. They aren't porcelain.

Everyone was crying about not understanding the rule, they had to quantify it in some way and not make it based on feel.

So they decided if a player goes into the blue paint by their own accord and bump the goalie that is the standard and Mitch did, no matter how slight

I don’t like it because Ersson was pushing aggressively almost out of his crease and Marner had no time to react or get out of the way

So a goalie can basically throw himself at a guy and as long as he stays in the blue he can argue goalie interference

Looked like Marner had a skate in the crease as well.

That's not really what he was doing. He was getting into position to make the save. It's one thing if he went flying out of his crease or going right into the player, but that movement was what any goaltender in the league should have been doing in that situation. Also Marner initiated the contact.

Agreed, I think Patrick Roy doesn’t cause a stir yesterday this goal counts. But now they will be consistent. Pretty similar plays

True but at the same time Marner couldn’t avoid him, and it’s not like Marner was going straight at the net

I’d hate for that to be called back in a bigger moment

if the dman was like 1 second faster in checking marner i doubt that gets called back, he would've been shoved in before the contact so they wouldn't have called it back

marner's move through the legs made his route that close to the net, so he could've avoided it by not doing it. I think the call was the right one IMO, the blue paint is the goalies space, they can do anything they want in that
