This seems like a prototypical game we might have under babcock. Team plays solid defensively, can't score due to lack of skill, other team scores due to superior skill/defensive breakdown because of inferior defensive ability. Babcock likes teams effort at the end of the day.

Surely Babcock liked what Phaneuf played tonight again no? He is getting better under him. Playing harder and more tough, hitting and all. He should hit very much, because he can't do all the things others do no?

We should have dumped Phaneuf to the wings when we had the chance last deadline for whatever they were willing to give

Well, if there is such a thing, that's a good loss. Not much talent on this roster, but they started to play well as a group. I'll never get tired of outshooting the opposition. Some world class possession shifts in there.

Yes sir. That's great great coaching there. Our goals against average will drop tremendesly this season. It'll be good and fun for us.

If Babcock helps Phaneuf live up to that contract: Build him a statue
If Babcock helps the Leafs make the playoffs: We make him Prime Minister. Easily would vote for him over Trudeau or Harper

Solid defensively doesn't allow four goals.
