It's crazy that Keefe seems so down on Engvall. He's easily a top 9 forward and elite PKer

Even with all his obvious tools he’s invisible way too often, I think that consistency is what’s holding him back for a bigger role

Hey guys... but I was told Robertson was not as good as Caufield when shooting lol

as a Montreal Fan gotta say i was damn impressed by Robertson last year.. kept an eye on him.. he is so young.. im pretty sure he will be great.. he may be small but way stronger than Caufield.. Caufield looks like a small bug and way to easily pushed around on the ice yeah he has a shot but.. I have more confidence in Robertson at the NHL level until proven otherwise since he always is in movement and his competitiveness and involvement was impressive.. I was expecting a monster showing this year before he left USA camp in favour of the Leafs camp.

Engvall played himself off the team last year after signing the contract.

I think he'll get back and hopefully make someone like kerfoot expendable. For now he has to earn his way again.

That was fun.

Our stars look revving to go.

Biggest takeaways from this one for me:

- most everyone penciled into the real lineup showed they belong, with thornton/vesey obviously the biggest question marks in their roles, while both Barabanov and Lehtonen fit in effortlessly.

- Engvall the one outsider who really made a big play to get back into the lineup. Actually kinda hard to take him out when he plays like that.

- Campbell looks dialed in. Freddy better watch out.

- the kids look near ready to contribute when needed - Anderson, Sandin, Lilly all stood out positively. Robertson not so good but he's still a legit baby and wow that shot.

Among the new guys Lehtonen, Barabanov and Vesey had some nice moments. Simmonds, Thornton, Brodie and our "new" 3rd line weren't very noticeable.
