Oel/Tanev/Timmins have 1 goal a piece and Rielly has 4. I wouldn't say that our defensive scoring has improved. In fact, it's slightly worse than last year so far.

Timmins/OEL in particular should be expected to be sniffing 10 (or at least 5) each this year.

So when we get healthy, why can't Minten stick as 3rd line C instead of Holmberg? Why is it a foregone conclusion he goes back down. He looks fine.

You never know, but I'd be very surprised if they send him back The Leafs have a pantsload of games coming up in the next 8 weeks and they're low on centre's, he needs to be better on the dot. The rest of his game looks pretty well there

NHL has no problem benefitting from Russian players and selling their jersies
But it's ok. All the contribution Russian players made growing this game means nothing

Minten looks pretty big out there and plays a smart game. I really hope he continues his progression as he fills the biggest hole on the team when healthy. With goaltending looking great and 3C filled, we could just focus on getting defensive depth and a top end rental for a playoff run.
