I agree m. Which is unfortunate because he provides great offensive depth unlike the rest of the scraps we have in our bottom 6. He’s just too unreliable defensively

Doesn't help that he is playing with our worst defensive forward.

Defensively he is good, work ethic, chips in offensively here and there, good complementary player that can play up and down the lineup, better than most of our bottom 6...
Is that the NHL 25 breakdown because I have yet to see him do anything even remotely close to that.

I really don’t know what Berube is telling Benoit but I would really prefer if he doesn’t join the rush.

Last couple of games he seems to have developed the mindset he’s got an offensive game

I think people are ascribing far too much to a single game. They beat that same Florida team a week earlier. I would argue both of those games really don't mean anything at all.
Of course they do.

They are 1-3 against Florida this year with the script being the same every game

Tor outplayed and out muscled.

Even in the win, Fla was the better team.

As much as Tor is in TB's head, Fla is in Tor's head. It is a terrible match up for the Leafs.

But, Florida is a tough matchup for everyone. Hence the back to back cup appearances and win.

Does anyone know If a Marlie like Steeves can practice with the leafs without having been called up? Or is there a rule with the NHLPA that he has to be w on the roster ?

Nah, that's not it. I'm sticking with option one which is he doesn't play that way and I don't think anybody on here actually believes he does either.
Went and checked. He has a high PPG only because he has 5 points in 15 games.
