In a house
the peeps this time, not the leafs. how can a hockey city like toronto have soooooo many empty seats for a world cup final? the broadcasters were avoiding shots of the seats beacause there huge "holes" in the stands.

hopefully if another event like this happens again, the canadian games will be played in a city that really appreciates hockey and supports it, even if its not the homers team.

Because ticket prices reached 750$...the average Joe hockey fan (like myself) would rather watch the game at home than spend that kind of money.

17 000 x $200 is far better than 18 000 at $100.(And it was announced as sold out regardless if fans were in all the seats.) With the average ticket price in Toronto and Montreal, those were the best places to play the game from a financial standpoint, which is one of the primary reasons to hold the tournament.

Sometimes the best decisions aren't popular, but you can't fault them for it.
