I have no idea why eiher of those guys have any popularity whatsoever (and I'm not comparing Stephen A to Dangle, since one is a multi, multi, multi millionaire, and the other is very much not).
To be fair Dangle is a lot better on his podcast, can't stand him in his individual videos though.

It's like night and day. On the SDP, he's calm (unless the Leafs lose in the playoffs), has very good takes overall and is engaging to listen to. People really should realize that what he does regarding the Leafs yelling and screaming on YouTube is like a totally different character.

Well it's a character he developed for the LFR videos. It's an act, it is entertaining at times. I don't watch it for a serious nuts & bolts analysis of the game. It's like old Adam Sandler movies, I'm not watching for an Oscar performance, i'm watching to laugh.

Obviously on the podcast it's a lot more normal discussion between the guys, if he was flailing around and screaming it wouldn't work.

I am glad that they finally stopped discussing the social justice issues and just focus on sports this past year.

Seemed like the guys on the Dangle podcast were taking shots at the overdrive guys today because of their 4 nation's takes.

Like nature, society works best when it finds its equilibrium. For the last several years, everything went much too far to the left. I imagine in the next few years it will go too far to the right, and then hopefully after that it will find its way back to the middle. Extremes in any direction never work well.

People do not watch his LFR videos for him to be calm. His reactions are what makes him famous. He’s talked about it at length. That’s not Steve on the day to day, he does take medication now, so he’s much calmer on the podcast. But I’m sure he adds sauce to his LFR for views. It’s his livelihood and he has to do what he has to do for views.3

Now that the NFL season is over, maybe we don't have to hear O-Dog say "my partsie" when referring to Luke Wilson anymore...Reminds me of artsy fartsy... :)

To be clear, I enjoy the show.

It's my favourite part of the sports calendar, where even during non-football coverage here on Canadian sports media there is always banter about who bet on who and who won or lost by how much. And when the Fan590 switches to air the US CBS sports radio, its football talk 24/7/365. They hardly recognize other sports except a bit of college football and basketball, once gain due to gambling

Why does Kyper shill so hard for Marner? It makes the show unlistenable.
I used to really enjoy the show but Kyper going on and on about Marner and the over the top hyperbole from Sammy is amateur hour. The should have kept Sammy behind the glass as a producer. Everything to him is terrifying or the most exciting or blah blah blah. He sounds like an over wrought grandmother.
