IMO it’s even worse when Hayes and ODog don’t know basic football news…….more than once I’ve seen them talk about the guy in the gas mask and the coach in the hospital bed in the same segment and they don’t know the connection.

The best is their takes on the NBA. My son catches it sometimes when he is over for supper and he is openly offended by their commentary and takes. lol

They should probably just stick to hockey, some NFL when Luke is on and avoid the rest. I know they know golf, but I literally turn off the show when they go into it. Just not my thing.

Their basketball takes are probably 10,000 foot as well. I turn it off when they have a basketball segment, which isn’t too often, thankfully.

I mean he could with the cap increase, seems high but he would certainly have a better idea than the average fan.

Shill to me means he can have some affect on what's happening, I don't see how his comments affect anything.

They didn’t talk as much about the Super Bowl as I expected.
I wonder how the ratings will turn out? On one hand you have the Chiefs Eagles in New Orleans which is aesthetically unappealing to watch on TV and a lot of people know the city is one of the worst in the country. On the other there’s chance of a 3 peat, Swift, and the first time a sitting President is attending which could stir up interest.

No one is. It's crazy. There is some serious apathy around this game to say the least.
Luke was on yesterday and his first comment was, "this place is gross' lol. He and 3 or four others from TSN are down there (James, Kara, Sanchez).
I don't think there is excitement around either team outside their own fanbases. Not sure there is a lot of excitement around the halftime show either.
The ratings will be through the roof though, so no one needs to worry lol.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. :D

I listened to Tim & Sid when they were first on the radio, it was a fun, energetic show. But as they moved to TV it got a lot more stale. The best part was when McCown crashed their show and kicked them out. LOL.

And since Sid went to BT, he went full nutbar wacko.

I forsee a Tim & Sid podcast/youtube show coming, since Tim Micaleff isn't doing a whole lot at Sportsnet, I'm pretty sure he'll be let go at the end of whatever his contract is.

My first reaction as well. Sid was never a fit on BT, and kept circling back to sports, which lit up his eyes and voice. Tim is being severely misused doing highlight packages.

They can reclaim the spot of the top sports duo if and when they start their podcast. They would be quite successful and could easily monetize it to cover what they were previously making.

Meredith Shaw also let go, and just a few weeks ago Tracy Moore and Cheryl Hickey got canned, even with their new show not even 6 months old.

Rogers can suck it.

Sid is a less funny version of Odog and he's the reason I stopped watching Tim and Sid. Obnoxious blowhard with idiotic takes. Atleast with Odog he can be funny enough sometimes to make it worth putting up with.

The thing is Sid never played any sports. At least O'Neill was once a high end goal scorer in the NHL.
