Doug McLean on K&B is the best radio segment of the week.

He was great way back when, the last few years he was on the radio I found him unbearable. Seemed like he mainly talked about stuff other than sports. Like his house and stuff. I never tuned in to his podcasts so I can’t say I’ll miss them. Lol
When he brought in that yank it ruined his show.

Yeah, I'm a long time McCown listener going back to the 90's. I was mad when they let him go at the Fan590, and was happy when he came back with the podcast, which did quite well and had some pretty good guests as McCowan always had, and in this longer format could actually discuss things more rather than 10-15 minute bits on traditional media.

He could have just given up after his stroke, but he fought back to try, and while obviously diminished with his speaking, he still had the sharp mind to debate sports issues. Sadly when Shannon jumped ship, that was the writing on the wall.

Thank you Bob for the listening pleasure over the years.

I didnt mind him on the radio when there was nothing else better. then I switched to OD and then I stopped listening to radio altogether. Podcasting made everyone easy. Also I dont need to listen to them to talk about golf and football

Bob's radio show was being put on podcast form for quite some time before being cancelled, at least 5 years. I remember catching up when I missed portions of it.

Many years before that. I must have listened to him and Jim Kelley, Stephen Brunt, Damien Cox and John Shannon for I guess 15 to 20 years on podcast. First only the national hour, later the full show. My strong connection to Toronto owes a lot to Prime Time Sports.

I discovered him while flipping channels in the middle of the night in my hotel room during a trip to Canada. Must have been a repeat. Bob was a great interviewer. Loved some of the regular guests like Rob Becker on sports and law. And the espn guy on the business of sports.
