Well since you are not around usually, you'd know that most people on this board TOTALLY get that this team is bad and awfully build. That Molson should give up being the owner and that Bergevin and his crew old washed up hockey minds should go too. So once that is said and done, we do have the right to talk about the best players on our team. And that they do, like every other player, should pull their weight. He does not. Is he the main problem of this team? People should stop the **** up with this as nobody said he was. What people will have trouble with though is building a team from the goalie and up. And not being able to do squat to surround him. Or having to surround him with defensive players when you should, actually, concentrate on offense the day you think that your goalie is so superior that he will make up for the defensive blunders in front of him. That's what paying a guy 10M$ a year should do.

The fact that one could think posting "10.5 million" after every goal against is simply using your "right to talk about the best players" is what is really sad.

For the record, I never made any sort of claim that Habs fans don't know their own team. The closest implication to that came from a Habs fan. As much as I hate the Canadiens, I respect the passion and commitment of the fans. But, as exists within my own fan base, there is a percentage that wants to blame the goaltender for as much as humanly possible. Because of how much money he makes. Those people are the ones who make constant quips like "10.5 million" or "lol Price" after every goal.

I am going to let you guys watch your game, and I'm going to enjoy at least a bit more of it before the Bruins come on. Enjoy the rest of the game, and God hope that both our teams don't end up in th basement together.

Not a single other team in the league depends on their goalie to hold it to 2 or fewer in order to have a chance to win. If you had a really good defense you could try this, we do not have a good defense. We barely have a passable defense.

Does Price need this team to score goals to enable him to make saves ? I don't understand the link. If the team in front of Price sucks, does that mean he is suddenly not responsible for playing badly ?

Counter example, if the oilers are bad defensively and allow 4-5 goals every game, and McDavid starts a season by getting 1 assist in 4 games... are people going to say, stop blaming McDavid for not scoring, the defense allows 4-5 goals a game !!!

I do not understand the logic behind this absolution from bad play Price is getting. I mean, of course, if our D was perfect, and we had Toronto's offense, Price would win every game... any goalie would win... we wouldn't need Price...
