Marner has just been awful this series so far and another lackluster start for him again.

If the Leafs have any kind of cup aspirations then Joe Thornton has to sit. Sentimentality has no place in a cup run and he is just too slow all around; in foot speed and in puck movement. He could have done a lot better on goal #1, and bungled a potential rush not long ago.

Marner hesitates to shot, always waiting to make that extra pass. He also refuses to forecheck, he hovers and puck watchs really close to the habs player and let them blow past him. Mind as well skate a little back, whats the point of skating forward knowing it'll be a forward pass or a explosive exit.
