No reason that they can't beat the Bruins if they can stop beating themselves.

As you can see, since the Maple Leafs have the advantage in most of these statistical categories, they are clearly destined to win and BOS can be expected to crumble like TOR has done when having poor underlying numbers in the past.

Bruins have a solid 4th line C in Coyle ! All wingers first line...

It's like Keefe is making lines for both teams.

I mean...
  • The current team mentality does not jive with the majority of fans on this board (i.e., most want blue collar type mindset);

To be fair, it seems like Leafs fans have been like this forever.

The fact is it's pretty much a skilled League today. There are certainly no Wendel Clarks. If the Leafs go in a new direction, they aren't going to suddenly become like the '07 Ducks. They tried Carlyle - how did that go again?

It's either win with this core or bring in different new age NHL players (who may or may not have a little more bite and jam).

Feels like such a troll move.

Confidence is low in all 3 of our goalies, and they're changing it up after a convincing win.
He's a good goalie but still a bit risky to take out the hot goalie who has been unreal vs. the Leafs this year.

Shoot the puck and get an early one, let's go.

hh imagine Bruins making it just to troll Leafs...

They rotated goalies all season, it worked for them. No need to change what ain't broken.

This way if Ulmark sucks, they can just revert to Swayman. If he's fine, they can rotate until one has a stinger.

Plus they have two Vezina-caliber goalies, might be easier to ship Ulmark later if he has a solid playoff performance.

It does feel like a bit of a "We can do what we want, we don't care" for sure. Part of that is they want to give both guys playing time though so I'm sure they see it differently.

They are alternating the goalie?

What was Swayman supposed to score a goal and dish it to pastrnak too

Moreover, ullmark is such a bad playoff performer, he makes Samsonov look like vasi. If we don’t score 3+ on this loser than idk what to say

Man I really want the team to light ullmark the f*** up and make this decision by Montgomery be a horrible one

You can tell in this thread who watches hockey vs who just watches the Leafs.

Alternating goalies has worked great for Boston the last 2 regular seasons. They got away from it last playoffs and it cost them. Sticking with their plan isn't disrespect to Swayman or the Leafs

All the leafs need to do to win this game is score goals, play good defense, have their goaltender make some saves and be better at special teams, I mean that’s it.

Wow! Swapping your goalie after a 5-1 win where he played awesome and the goal against wasn't his fault going into game 2.

Thats a new one

The goalie rotation makes sense since neither goaltender can maintain the starting goalie spot.
