Matthews just score, Marner please do something other than standing at the point like a dman. Tavares…stop trying to go 1 on 2 and killing plays.

Need some stops, need to limit the pks and chances and need some goals

Matthews: Stop trying to do too much and just play a simple game and rip it in the net when you get shots

Marner: Stop trying to force passes through 5 people to Matthews everytime you get the puck or go 1 on 5 when your linemates are not Matthews

Nylander: Just exist in the game

Tavares: Just have fun buddy

I want to see another clapper from the top of the circle from El Capitan on a partial break! That may have been my favorite part of last game.

To those where it’s Cup or Nothing, this place will indeed be toxic. For the few who just take it game by game and enjoy each game it will be a downer but there is always next game. Hoping for a win tonight but don’t go overboard we aren’t winning this series.

I mean...
  • The current team mentality does not jive with the majority of fans on this board (i.e., most want blue collar type mindset);
  • The track record of being utterly humiliated in the most epic ways possible throughout the Matthews era in regular seasons or throughout all playoff series to date (except maybe 1);
  • This all preceded by the failures of the Nonis era, the Burke era, JFJ era, Fletcher era, and if you're still alive from not having a heart attack or aneurysm from this team at this point, whatever abject failures before this.
Gonna be more of a cesspool than peak 4chan lol.

Controlled aggression and better defensive coverage are the main things I’ll be watching for tonight.
Put pucks on net and pay the price to be in position for deflections, screens and banging in any rebounds they give up. Pretty hockey season is over, get in there and get some ugly ones.

This game is kind of giving me a 2018 game 2 feel where we just get blown out early. Obviously I want to be wrong.
