The new lines have been absolute trash if you consider it's recent body of work has been blowing a 3-1 lead followed by being dominated to go down 3-1. Even that 3-2 goal has nothing to do with the new lines

The Leafs very well might still come back, but it's pretty tough to be impressed by them playing like complete garbage for half a game. There's no excuse for it

I find you get a pretty good sense of whether we get the Jekyll or Hyde Leafs when you see those careless passes early in a game. Likes senseless reversals to no one, area passes to the open wing, big loops in their skating. Like if they’re going to casually give away the puck you know they’re likely to give up a lot of scoring chances and probably the game with it.

Team looks asleep out there. I feel like the schedule gaps have hurt the team. I expect we see a different team when the schedule gets filled
So solid rest and enough time to practice working on some problem areas has "hurt the team".
And when the "schedule gets filled", i.e. a bunch of three-games-in-four-nights sessions, this will bring out the best in the Leafs.

I give up. I really do.

I think it’s less the lines and more the players on the lines. The team hasn’t really lost too much but the quality of play isn’t where you want it to be. They need a lot of work to get back to that November December level.
