Max P. on the second line

The pressures of Tronta have caused Berube to lose his mind.

***patches scores game tying goal in final seconds and the GWG in OT incoming***

Substituting ‘neutrals’ for ‘leaf haters’ doesn’t change them from being leaf haters and not actually neutral.

There is no such thing as being neutral when the topic is the maple leafs

Who doesn't want to see more playoff hockey?

Weird take.

Obviously I'd want my own team to win in fewer games, but every other series I want it to go 7 games.

It’s tough explaining to a fan of a team no one cares about or thinks about (and I’m sure many forgot about) what it’s like being in the center of the hockey universe

I used to be neutral on the Leafs. When I first started watching hockey I had no idea about really anything and the only thing I did other than watch my own team and the playoffs (whether we were in it or not) was reading the local newspaper’s sports section, where we were lucky to get anything more than just the box score of the previous night’s game.

When I first saw the Leafs in the playoffs, I was a teenager who just assumed that they were a bunch of yahoos that nobody cared about outside of Toronto.

How little I knew back then…

There's no way the leafs are going to blow this. 100% no shot. They are just too good. In fact God himself couldn't even stop leafs from winning this series
I think God's appointed Hockey God, Biz Nasty, agrees with you.
I do not see how the leafs lose this game. The pressure is all on Ottawa again. playing a road game at home with all the leafs fans there, zero playoff experience and nowhere near the scoring power.

Growing up and living in WI - we really have no strong connection with hockey (even taking into consideration of how popular the sport is in Northern Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan).

Last week a co-worker asked if there was an NHL team in Toronto...I showed him a few videos on YouTube...It's like he discovered an alternate universe 🤯

Lmfao, the persecution complex is unreal

Leafs top 4 in a game six or seven.

Marner. 4 points in 12 games
Matthews - Five game 6's... four points. Four game sevens, two points. (6 points, 9 games)
Nylander Seven game 6's -> Six points Six games sevens, four points. (10 points, 13 games)
Tavares Four games 6's -> Three points, Four games sevens, one point. (With Leafs) (3 points, 8 games)

Leafs 1 goal in the last 33 PP’s in elimination games in the playoffs. (Since 2018)

Leafs are 1 win out of 14 playoff elimination games. (Since 2018)

Allowed 3 short-handed goals, in elimination games.

Leafs have zero regulation goals from the bottom seven(eight?) forwards in this series. Only Tavares, Nylander, Marner, Matthews, Knies have scored in regulation so far... and as seen above, they don't really score in games sixes, or sevens as a collective.

Here's hoping it stays tough
