No one has been proven wrong yet. So many folks will have egg on their face from the last 48 hours. Almost no one is giving them any chance to win after losing game 4 nvm game 5.
Actually you have been proven wrong. You said the series would be 4 or 5 games max. Said Ottawa was a joke, terrible team with no talent that squeaked into the playoffs. There are pages and pages of your arrogant, misinformed and inaccurate takes.

The leafs are still heavy favorites and should be but you of all people have been wrong the most of anyone posting.

Uhh I absolutely did not say they were a terrible team that has no talent. Every comment I have made has been about my faith in the Leafs mostly, not about any particular opponent.

After tonight when the Leafs win, I'll be making the same comments of belief and faith in my team for round 2.

Ya poster is entertaining, all arrogance, is then proven wrong, , then it turns into a victim complex. Rinse and repeat lol.

Sens win tonight then get crushed in game 7

Both fan bases always get maximum misery
No, no, we were supposed to be crushed easily. Some dickhead in one of the threads called us embarrassing. I think we've shown that we're a good team that's on the rise and no matter what, Ottawa fans should be proud.

What are the odds that every single pundit in the Toronto sports media machine was wrong in saying that this team is different? I just can't see the Sens overcoming the collective intelligence of such an esteemed group.

Oh well- it's been fun!

I’m so glad I’ve been telling everyone all along they’re not a different team. I mean that was already obvious from every single statistic imaginable and watching the games, but it’s crazy how much people simply believe false narratives.

Pssst.....you're doing it again. :biglaugh:

I mean, tonight's the night for this Leafs team to prove they are different from the previous iterations.

A lot of people expect them to fail/choke. Just prove them wrong!

How could they possibly prove that? They’ve already beaten a superior Tampa team in 6 games. The fact this already went 6 after being up 3-0 is proof they’re not different at all.

As a Bruins fan, I’m becoming worried for my own mental state in how much I enjoy masses of Leaf fans expressing their suffering via various media mediums. Like, it’s a full blown epidemic of torment and I can’t stop eating it up.

Even if they win tonight, I feel like I got some really great meltdown entertainment just from games 4 and 5.

Soulfood :sarcasm:

----

Toronto is a nothing team, but they absolutely can win tonight and I really think they will, too. Even if they havent scored lately on the pp, holy hell the Ottawa passive diamond pk scheme is horrible.

So, if there's enough peepees this game, the Leafs will take it.

Just listening to Craig Simpson crying Auston-tears on Kyper & Bourne .. funny stuff. Must be hard to sound more neutral on live national tv :propeller

f*** yes! We've been saying that all year, basically. Very poor.

Hum, by not doing what all of their naysayers expect them to do here (choke). By advancing to the second round and continuing their playoffs journey.

Don't tell me you're one of these people who predict how later playoffs rounds will play out based on the ongoing round? It's one round at a time. If the Leafs get past Ottawa, they'll have their chance against Florida.

The truth is if this series had went 1-0 Tor, then 1-1, then 2-1 Ott, then 2-2, and now 3-2 Toronto, a lot of people wouldn't even think about saying they are going to choke. The results is what matter, not how they do it. As long as they beat Ottawa, it's groovy.

How would that prove they’re a different team though? That’s my point. Ottawa is worse than Tampa, and they’re having trouble with them after being up 3-0
