He makes just shy of 11 million dollars per year, the 7th highest paid player in the NHL. You're going to face some quick criticism when you account for more than 1/8th of your team's salary cap.

The other highest paid players also face significant criticism when they're not producing, relative to the size and voracity of their market.

He is one of the top PP producers since entering the league. But let's not let silly things like facts get in the way of a good lynching.

Yeah, because 1 PP goal in 100 games for a near $11 million per year player is quite the impressive feat.

One of the highest PP producers in the league since he started. I agree it's shocking he went the long between goals, thank god he racked up those assist.

Toxic fans are going to stay toxic fans, so I won't waste anymore time on this.

Crazy that we just put up 3 in 20 against a guy who is in the Vezina conversation, yet struggled to even score one against that Coyotes backup a few weeks ago... but I guess that's just hockey

Bunting Matthews Marner is my happy place
And all three players for around 23.5 million. That’s an average of under 8 million per player

The Rangers are a step below every other team in the east imo. Definitely a good club but the rest of the conference is elite

Good individual pieces but they have no idea what they want to be. Panarin Fox and Shesterkin is an elite core on paper with good supporting pieces like Zbad and Kreider, but are they a skill team? Are they a physical shutdown grinding team? They're half assing different games instead of hard committing to being the best at one.

We are doing it for Jack, wreck Sistercians numbers

Nobody is refuting that fact. Like it, or not, however, people value goals above points and fans / media will be critical when your pp goal scoring drought starts to become measured in years, rather than games. When you make nearly 11 million dollars, people expect A LOT.

One mistake from biega but besides that great period. Lilly is a great skater, guy has top 4 written all over him.

Their professional development is absolutely awful as well. Laf, Kakko, Kravstov, Andersson. They've had so many forwards disappoint on that club that is has to be something with their developing team

They're lucky to be in NYR and have Panarin/Fox fall into their lap. That'll change the fortunes of any club

I look seven layers deep on most subjects..

I am going to make a statement, that many might think, is asimportant as finding crop circles in your backyard, first thing in the morning...

let me develop this theory, kinda slow..

We have seen what acquiring this ball of talent and energy, of jack campbell has done for the team.

I will posit, that the duo of Liljegren and Sandin, the very subtle but not to me, beast play of Engvall, and of course the other swede, Nylander....

Well, its tonight, for me the tone. A team loved by the rest of team, within the team...

A viking contingent, within the team... Hmmmm.

Same as the Detroit Wings..

All Shanahan needs now is one more russian to hang with micheyev...

They came very close to being villified, but I will also posit this, apart from the kinda crummy weather right now, this must be a very fun, exciting environs, for any player, lucky enough to be wearing the blue and white...

Micheyev, is playing like a russian dynamo right now...

Campbell playing, like maybe no one, I have seen in les bleus et blanche...

Its really fun to see...

The players are turned on, so obviously, management, suddenly impressed the players, the players suddenly matured...

But to me, and sorry to sound like a guy who I respect and have done some business with, Your goalie is your most important player...

Lets enjoy what we are seeing right now... Lets actually NOT talk about first round exits..

Be a smart fan....Most of the NHL SPECTATING experience, is the regular season...

My overall opinion, is, I love winning more than losing, and I love to win, a lot...

Well, my Leafs win a lot in the regular season..

So I am enjoying the heck out of this season... Virtually everyone, is operating, at full potential and capacity...

Playoffs? Man, there are so many really good teams out there now... So many...

How Bergeron is still bringing it at his age/ Incredible..

Pasternak had a pretty serious hip surgey, peeps, that renders most people a walker, a hockey high level existence? no way, but the dude is like a brown and black and white nightmare, he just won't go down.

Marchand, man he is definitely the new version of terrible ted lindsay...

Tampa and Florida?

Foof, horrible, both of them to play...

Tell you what, drop ship us drew doughty somehow, for whatever and we win the cup

No interest in figuring out the cap, leave that to zeke.

Wild to think they are where they are while getting next to 0 value on a 1st and 2nd overall.

Lafreniere is taking the slow path becoming a top notch player (like Mackinnon did) , and that isn't helping. But I tend to agree that while Panarin, Zibanejad and Kreider are all excellent forwards, I find myself wondering what the identity of their forward group is.

Hmm. If evolving hockey is updating properly....

Liljegren 97.3xgf%
Sandin 96.5xgf%

Maybe they don't need the sheltering so much.
Sample size is smol, but that’s outstanding work by them. Eye test matches up the number too

I don't see it with Laff to be honest, even when MacK was taking his time developing he was still one of the fastest players in the league with a high end skillset. I don't see what Laff is better at than the average middle-6ers.
