Been wondering this for some time myself.

Prime Ovi and Stamkos stood in one place outside the range of slot coverage but put the shot threat in the head the opposition to give them second thoughts. Matthews moving around just eliminates him as a shot threat as long as he’s fading out of the play and retreating to distance.
