Toronto is in big trouble... Matthews's injury is still there. Surgery incoming?

Are you suggesting he's pretending to be hurt in order to load up the roster for the post season?

If so can I interest you in a bridge that I have for sale?
Well posters didn’t like what Stone did, and he actually had back surgery.

this is why I was fine with 4 years. His health is an issue. Not sure why he didn’t want long term.

He is going to be a malkin level player which is great but could have challenged ovy if he could stay healthy.

This is not good for my Leafs... Matthews needs to play through it. His 9th straight season of hitting at least 34 goals is on the line. Only Gretzky and Bossy has been able to pull that off before.

They are tight lipped, only speculation. Only thing we know for sure is they clarified it was unrelated to his wrist issues a few years ago.
Hmm okay I’ll take your word for it. But it seems fishy, wrist issue would be the most likely thing to hide from the fanbase..

It's pretty obvious that they have tried everything possible in order to avoid surgery.

He will sit on Monday night as well since the break after that gives him more time off.

Leafs are in trouble by.. Being first in the Atlantic despite Matthews being a non factor this season due to already being injured and being clearly injured when he did play (as well as tons of other injuries)?

If anything, this is the first time the Leafs might be able to do the Kucherov/Stone move at the TDL
Non factor lmao
