lol nope. Jones is an untouchable piece on your team but if the Leafs offered Matthews for him straight up your GM would get so excited he would break the fax machine trying to send in the trade.

As a Hawks fan, I wouldn’t blame the Jackets (or their fans) for wanting Jones at his cap hit over Matthews on his new deal.

Both are special youngsters, though.

If Jones was on the Leafs, he would be considered equally valued to Matthews.

I wouldn’t trade a Norris contending defenseman and a 20 year old center on pace for 75 points for a 90-100 point forward. I don’t think that’s fair value at all.

I love Matthews but this is an insane statement.

I would actually do this as a leaf fan. I can def see why CBJ fans so no. Leafs would try and flip Nylander for RHD too (Parkyo, Pietrangelo, Pesce)
