They don't always call high sticks lol

I can't think of many examples of the ref clearly seeing them and not calling them.

They get missed sometimes because they're obstructed or they happen where the refs aren't looking, but I can't think of any examples off the top of my head where the refs see it and don't call it.

I.e. The famous Kerry non-call Gretzky/Gilmour, he didn't see it, and he went to his linesemen, who both said they didn't see it, otherwise it would have been called and maybe we'd have a cup, who knows. If you rewatch the clip, you don't notice it in real time either, you just see Gilmour sprawled all of a sudden.

Only blatant example I can think of is on that powerplay just before Kerfoot’s GWG in Game 4 against Tampa, Willy got high-sticked on the zone entry and it was uncalled. Doesn’t matter but I think that’s an example of the refs letting a high-stick go.
