I was gonna say before the game we were due for an ass kicking after starting out so well but didn't want to jinx it. Couldn't complete a pass or handle the puck and everyone just looked like they were awake for 24+ hours and just zombies out there.

We’ve lost to Columbus and Montreal. Serious teams find ways to win games.

The main issue is still that we are an incredibly inconsistent team. Great one night, don’t show up the next. Berube has his work cut out for him, if we hope this team can take the next step.

Same thing as last year, right? They had trouble with Montreal, Columbus, Buffalo, even Chicago?

Either they take the lesser/younger teams lightly....or those 'younger' teams just don't give a **** about how good the leafs are supposed to be and outwork them.

This Leaf team...they'll do fine when they play an older team that may be experienced but doesn't force them to skate...but, younger teams that force the Leafs to work..they don't like that.

In his defense thus pp sucked before he got here..so maybe its not coaching.

Say what you want about the playoffs but they never looked this bad this early in the regular season. All the bad streaks were either playoffs or deep into march. If it was against playoff teams focusing on tightening up in March, at least understandable. Against an injured bottomfeeder like Columbus in October?
