What if the condition is met and the pick turns into a 3rd? I'd say that's pretty good value for a spare part considering what goalies are being traded for these days.

I said I wouldn't expect him to have a market before free agency. He was dealt for a conditional pick after all the healthy goalies with starting experience had signed. Was I wrong?

You know what a conditional pick is right? Kris Russel was traded for a conditional pick at the deadline this year. Based on the conditions, it was either a 1st or a 2nd.

We don't know what the conditions on this pick are but the Ducks don't have a 6th or a 7th this year so at WORST case scenario it's a 5th round pick.

Now if you want to sit here and tell me that a 5th round pick has ZERO value, well than I guess that's your prerogative.
