Fun game minus the outcome. Schneid, Lars, Gelly, Zids, Jags, Bernier, Ryder, Zajac, all pretty damn effective.

Kessel and Bernier are pretty good hockey players.

I'd rather have seen Tedenby and/or Zidlicky, you know guys who actually have some sort of creativity. Jagr, Tedenby, Zidlicky I would have been fine with but nope gotta keep rolling out the turds.

And everyone was screaming for Henrique when he WASN'T in the top 3 in the early games. They ALL suck in the SO.

Jagr hates it and says he isn't good at it. Hard to throw a guy in there that doesn't want to do it.

If we do this again I think it is time to give Loki a try though.

I would have rather used Tedenby in the shootout. Henrique should never be allowed in a shootout again unless we're in WAY extra innings. 1 for 8 in the shootout now?

I'm thinking maybe Tedenby could do something useful and act as a shootout specialist or something.

Well considering that everyone else is JUST AS BAD, why the hell not throw him out there?

I mean nothing else is working so why not put him out there to see if he can deke the Goaltender out of his skates or something?

As I said, I dont think Deboer knows it's legal to use Dmen in the shootout.

I'd probably go with something like Tedenby, Zidlicky, Harrold in the shootout (given Elias is injured).

I hear everyone talking about debeors system its a really good system the devils play it well

some of debeor's personal decisions are what should be questioned... and no coach is gonna come in here and teach the team how to score...we have not offensive talent so this team needs to play it's ass off every night to win and at this rate debeor should pull his goalie in last minute of overtime

Zajac shouldn't have been out there for the shootout but he played a hell of a defensive game. Great on faceoffs considering nobody else on the team wins any.

bingo....his personnel choices stink, everything else isn't bad.

Excluding the Ranger game the Devils have scored 6 goals in 7 games with Cory in net. Disgraceful. Not only that they still haven't scored in the shootout.

Pete's dumbass always tries players who haven't had success in the shootout and still goes with (Ryder,Henrique, and Zajac). Hell try Larsson and Gelinas.

I think it's time we work on a new system. I'll give Pete a chance if he wants to change it. I'm tired of this 35 shots and 1 or 2 goals at most. It's been happening for 40 something games now. Maybe even 50.

Or trade for some guys who can finish in this system. No more Dagostino or Butler types either please.

If a coach tells a player to go and participate in the shootout, that player goes and participates in the shootout.

I don't care if he hates it. He's probably the only guy with a chance in hell of getting a goal.

We may have lucked out into a point but we are BEING SHUTOUT in the SHOOTOUT time and time and time again.

You flip out on Tedy for not burying all his breakaway chances. I don't see him doing much better in the shoot out.

The whole thing is a coin flip most of the time. Not much to practice or change.
