I mean...how does this make sense? Even if Boeser's year so far was representative of his NHL tenure, that's just awful.

Go ahead and add your 2022 1st to that as well. Because all this offer you made was Boeser for a non lottery 1st plus two scrubs. That’s lite. So add another 1st. Boeser for two late-ish round one picks and two scrubs. Vancouver may be interested since it’s a rebuilding move. Can sell it that way.

Other teams would offer a first and good (b+ type) prospect so you’d need to beat that.

If the leafs could clear the cap space to extend Boeser id offer a 2022 1st, Robertson and a 2023 2nd.

And to that we still say no. Too many unknowns and maybes in this deal for a young and proven NHL player. I don't see a fit between the two teams.
Fair enough but hoping for a 22 or 23 year old top 4 Rd is probably one of the toughest positions to aquire league wide, and depending on how good they are u may need to add to Boeser.

I understand that, but that's why so few trades are made in this league. It needs to make sense for both teams. If we don't get something that 100% makes our team better now or in the future then we'll gladly keep our top line 24 year old goal-scoring winger.

I firmly believe that whoever is traded between him and Miller, the other will be signed long-term. When he plays like he's capable of, he's a scoring threat almost every shift. You can build around that. Not to say those pieces you've offered aren't worth anything, but that there's a high likelihood we get less than we give.

I would rather hold onto Boeser until the contract runs out and watch him sign elsewhere.
