Don't get be wrong, Marner is a fantastic player, but we'd suddenly be a one line team. Even worse, we're already thin on defense and you wanna make that worse? Our right side would be Myers, Juulsen and Desharnais.

On the Toronto side of it, the absolutely last thing they need is another forward making eight digits.

Marner is clearly better and worth more. The positional difference does not compensate for how much better Marner is.
