To PHI: Woll, Cowan
To TOR: Tippett, Hathaway

I recently proposed Cowan for Foerster straight up and it was shot down by Philly fans because Foerster was too important to the team. I am back with an improved proposal to pluck from the strongest RW depth in the league. Philly's goaltending depth at the NHL level is probably the worst in the league. Woll steps in and immediately is their #1 and he is signed for 3 more years at 3.67M. Even if they bring in Demko, Woll's number is reasonable to play 1B to Demko and they have a relationship (Woll was recruited to play at BC by Demko). Cowan gets to keep playing with Barkey and Bonk and Philly can bring them through the AHL together. Tippett and Hathaway are big losses but Philly have Konecny, Foerster and Brink as RS RW along with whatever forwards they acquire with their mountain of cap space.

Toronto need RS forwards badly. They currently have Nylander and Jarnkrok who will soon be traded. Tippett would be a huge boost to their top 6 with Marner leaving and Hathaway is the first step towards building a 4th line that can actually play Berube style hockey. Woll is a big loss but I will not be surprised if Treliving re-signs Stolarz this summer to a 4 or 5 year deal and brings in his guy Vladar to back him up. Cowan is their only prospect of note but he likely never has the same impact that Tippett will while Matthews is on his current contract.

It does fit some things both teams need. I'd say something needs to add from Toronto for the value to balance (that may be me overvaluing Tippett as I like him) but it would be an interesting one.

Nylander is getting traded?

I don't mind the spirit of this proposal, but Woll is considered by many to be the future goalie of the leafs.
I spend all day in the Leafs board. I'd say there is an equal amount of people who view him as the future as those who don't.

I did put in the original post that I believe (I wouldn't endorse it) that Treliving will try to re-sign Stolarz this summer.

No. I'm talking about members of the hockey media.

I would do this as a Flyers fan - and I think the deal is slightly lopsided in our favor, but it’s quite good. Is there another minor need for Tor?

I heard him pump Woll's tires before the playoffs but nothing after the playoffs.

Even then - you said most media members in Toronto but named 1 guy who isn't considered Toronto media.
Don't be a dumb donkey. Im not going to satisfy your obsessiveness here.

What does it matter? This thread can live on no matter who says what about Woll.

What matters is what Treliving thinks of him.

I don't understand why I'm being the dumb donkey here. You made a baseless statement and now you can't back it up.
