Providing exactly what I thought he would for the leafs.

I was never on the hate Scott Laughton bandwagon, but that bandwagon certainly existed because he certainly struggled when he first got here.

But that's been going away over the course of the series, and after last night when he came up with a potentially game saving block that might be gone.

Plus the off-ice impact that fans can't see.

I think a lot of the hate ultimately came down to people misunderstanding what he was supposed to be. He's so much better suited to the role he's able to play with Toronto.

I also can't help but think Winnipeg wouldn't be awfully happy to have a guy like that for Game6/7 who can slide up to cover off injuries like that in different roles.

This was arguably the worst trade deadline deal this year, giving up a 1st round pick and Grebenkin for this tool bag was a fleece job by Philadelphia. A total of 4 points in 20 regular season games and another 2 points in 13 playoff games… just brutal!

For that package they could have acquired Donato from Chicago who 80 - 31 - 31 - 62 with the Hawks this year.

Leafs basically had the same trade on the table since he had been signed.

You ought to not trade 1st round picks for players like Scott Laughton.
Nothing against the player, but these are 3rd line plumbers you can find for free every July.

The Treliving experience.
Now wait for him to trade for plumbers, while also signing more plumbers; all while somehow letting stars walk.

I didn't mind the acquisition of a player like Laughton, but I'm always leery of adding non-impact guys for 1sts. It's one of the reasons I wasn't a fan of JR trading the Pens' firsts for guys like Zucker and Kapanen back in the day.

Either land an impact guy with the 1st or just opt for any "depth" guy deals that involve mid round picks instead.

Team is full of players who didn't score.

Or are you a flyers fans trying to say, in a not-so-subtle way that he sucks and you're being sarcastic ?

Ima need a hand on this one, my brother in Christ.
I thought Laughton played pretty well, his line was better than others.

I think the Leafs are still playing if they had one more Scott Laughton on the team.
I liked Laughton in the playoffs, but his stats are abysmal.

0 goals/2 assists in 13 games and he had chances to contribute, he didn't do anything with them.

He wasn't a problem, he did some good, no blame goes to him. But simultaneously, he really didn't do anything great nor did he really contribute all that much.

As a whole his Leafs stats are beyond terrible, in 33 games he put up a 5 goal/15 point pace over 82 games.
