Engvall is one of the guys who will be in the press box due to having 3 new players on the team.
Dubas won't resign Engvall.
Engvall is serviceable but so is Lafferty, Acciari and Holmberg.
Engvall got a 3rd round pick instead of losing him for nothing.

It is literally a Win, Win and Win trade for the Leafs.

In all seriousness though The guy was a seventh round pick, and ended up playing more than 200 games for the Leafs.

From all accounts he was a pretty good success story from a draft and development perspective. Best of luck Pierre

HOLY smokes I think I saw Engvall hit someone in the video...sorry, rewatched and it was a hug.
As close as I have seen him to a hit.

It's not even that he doesn't hit guys that bugs me...its that he is allergic to any kind of confrontation in any form when it comes to fighting for the puck. I think Kessel was more physical when it came to board battles. I was shaking my head so many times last game...glad he is gone. He is literally the anti-playoff type guy when it comes to grit and pugnacity along with determination.

If you go back to the playoff bubble, Engvall was scratched and Keefe had some very firm words for him publicly before Game 1 against CBJ.

Felt like the relationship was never really quite right after that - lots of benchings & frustrations with the player. Good luck to the player wherever he ends up.

Shouldn't be overlooked - Engvall for a pick means the Leafs free up another contract slot; can either use that before the deadline to add, or reserve it for Matthew Knies.

Alright so let's see if I got it worked out.

If Murray is coming back they needed to clear 1.1 million because Woll is being sent down.

Woll is 786K so that's 786K in cap space

Sandin for Gus nets them 650K that's nearly 1.5 million

Engvall brings them to about 3.8.

Those moves cleared about 3.8 in space, or ar least will once Woll goes down.

They added Schenn so that's 850K used, and they needed about 1.1 to activate Murray.

If my math iis right they have room to do more, I'm not sure they are done, they kind of have a hole on offense with Engvall gone and about 9 or 10 defense.
