You just listed 3 good defensive players (Holl, Kerfoot, Engvall) and a decent one (Bunting) that were replaced by 4 bad defensive players and we are wondering why defensively we look worse?

4 players is over 20% of the nightly roster.
Two, I would disagree that Kerfoot is particularly good defensively; he couldn't hack it at C for that reason.

However, they're not beyond replacement, and I don't see why Holl needs to be paid in excess of 3.4 m.

You forgot Kerfoot. :)
No, I didn't.

Not saying they were the wrong moves, just definitely downgrading defensively.

Not sure Robertson and Timmins have enough data to conclude anything from their card... But the other signings (Reaves and Klingberg) are terrible defensively too.

I didn't think the drop would be this big, but defnitely thought there would be a drop, I just thought secondary scoring would go up a lot more than it has.

They really had no choice to extend him. Woll still a question mark at the time, Murray a disaster, he was left without much. I was fine with one year, nobody thought he'd be league worst. I figured Woll would get the job though.
I was referencing Keefe, your the second person to suggest I was referring to Samsonov, I guess I wasn’t making sense with that post……..

If you think I'm some sort of Treliving supporter, then I've led you a stray. I probably don't like his signing anymore than you do.

I hold him to the same account that I held the previous bespeckled maven to.

There isn't a chance in hell the Leafs lose this game tonight. As per the script they'll follow up an abysmal performance against Buffalo with a great one tonight.

How they respond is more important than last game, it happens. If they don't come out "embarrassed" and with something to prove, then you get concerned.

I would not put it past them to get blown out again. I am still in disbelief from the Buffalo game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that.
