Cowen makes more sense if Toronto wants to admit they need to retool and move to younger talent that is cost controlled. Norris doesn't move the needle enough with his play to put them to Stanley cup contention.

Toronto should keep Cowen and try to develop him into a good top 6 player that can be cost controlled through 2030

I've felt this from the moment our goof of a GM, handpuppet clone Kevyn Adams acquired him. Saw the skill didnt look into track record. He always also tries to trade players to favorable solutions rather than be ruthless. If he wasn't Pegulas adopted son he'd have been fired by now. He's an unmitigated disaster. Nice guy but a complete clown.
