Top Potential UFA NCAA Prospects

wonder how much NHL interest UNO's Brandon Scanlin gets as he's a Junior but is 22 and might want to turn pro. Big boy that's putting up the points. You figure NHL teams are going to bee keeping an eye on UNO to begin with since Taylor Ward is crushing it and I would think Primeau will have teams looking at him as well.

Louis Boudon is having a great year at LSSU, he's from France so cue the Habs being interested.

AJ Vanderbeck at Northern Michigan is off to a great start as well.

Is Owen Sillinger legit? Brother of Cole is having a great senior year with Bedmidji State. He is 24 already though

i'm not sure about how good Bemidji State is in deveolping prospects. and as you said, he's 24 ... so he should be NHL-ready IF someone signs him

He doesn't need to be "NHL-ready". But based on his production he will almost surely get a shot to prove himself in the AHL.

Interested in ben meyers, akito hirose and jake livingstone..anyone have infos about them? What are the chance they sign with an nhl team?

During the Ohio St vs Michigan game last night they said that Michigan's coach is telling NHL teams to look at Nick Blankenburg as a undrafted UFA. He's an undersized D that's having a good year.

Odd, not a big fan of Blankenburg in the games I've watched. But it's nice that Pearson is talking him up.

He looked like a decent prospect two seasons ago. Less so last year. Probably good enough for an AHL deal at least though.

I've really liked what I've seen from Blankenburg given his slight stature. Myers has some serous potential as a high energy bottom six guy with some scoring punch from what I've seen of him.

Minnesota is finally in a place (basically because of one player) that it should be appealing for him to come and fight for a roster spot.

Center especially is still a question mark for the Wild.

What about Jacob Bengtsson's perspective? Is he playing as a forward or on defense? Eliteprospects has him listed as C/D in position ... he's got 20pts in 22 contests

scouts are saying McBain is the best player/prospect not playing in the NHL right now. 6'4, 220 pounds hitting everything in sight, 3rd in the nation in goals, top 10 in points with games in hand, and skating at an NHL level (which was his knock). Only 21 yrs old. He looks unstoppable.

Anyone info on jake livingstone?? 6'4 defenseman almost point per game 22 years old

Love to hear this. Any scouts in particular? Anything you can post here?

Little buzz over in Gopher land that Ben Meyers may get an Olympic invite if they go college route.

Finn Evans at Princeton is an interesting player flying under the radar. Second-leading scorer and +7 on a team that has struggled to start the year after missing all last season as Ivies were shut down (and may be again)

He's also 6'4", 190.
