Was expecting it to be horrible, it lived up.

On NO planet is;

Levshunov out of the top 20
Buium in the top 5
Hage or Cowan above Luchanko
Silayev out of the top 25
Cole Hutson also way too high

I know Levshunov was a reach at 2 but let's not pretend he wouldn't be absolutely destroying any junior league in the world right now. Debuting him at 25 seems crazy to me.
He wasn't a reach, most people had him at 2 or 3. He went where he was supposed to go.

I will give Craig Button this compliment: his lists aren't conservative. He's not ranking guys based on where they were drafted last summer or based on some good will they built up a long time ago, but is actually paying attention to what they've been doing this season. This explains the elevation of guys like Protas and Hutson.

Not saying I agree with everything (Easton Cowan LMAO, no Seamus Casey), but this is not a bad list.

Levshunov out of the top 20

Should be lower. This guy's nothing special, period.

Why a guy above a PPG as a freshman, with little help from his teammates, in Hage, should not be in front of Luchanko ?

@amnesiac cool if use your poll results as a reference for a new thread idea of mines ?

it's not like he was tearing apart the NCAA or he's dominating the AHL. Levshunov was pretty overrated in his draft year

It seems that at one time, he thought, "Ooo, I need to put down some Russians.", then listed Yurov, Simashev, and Silayev.

Button putting Levshunov at 25 behind Luca Marelli is wild. He's the only Hawk in his top 40 with Rinzel and Boisvert in the late 40s. I'm sure this won't make anybody upset

Hawks fans should be celebrating. Having Button hate on someone is the best way to know they will be a great player

surprising not to see cossa whose looking very good in the ahl , massive and athletic with very quick legs

also buchelnikov rockin in russia -

Plenty of people had Buium rated higher. Historic numbers and has won like 6 straight championships across various league/tournaments.

Agree with you on Silayev, Hutson & Cowan.

I remember you getting upset and calling out Canuck fans for Willander and Lekkerimaki getting voted so close together. lol
