Not trying to be an ass, but the bolded statement makes it look like you're not actually watching the games or missed the last goal we lost on. While Staal has been overall fantastic, and I picked him as one of my own top 5, Staal was the guy who blew the coverage on Galchenyuk on the OT goal last game. And Stralman's been good in my opinion. Also, I don't believe anyone is questioning keeping Richards or not on his play, it's actually that his contract can become a severe salary cap nightmare. If the contract was shorter/structured differently, you might be seeing an entirely different set of opinions.

Fair point. But, I just don't really see that OT goal as blown coverage (and to be honest I didn't even realize Staal was on the ice for that goal). The guy crashed the net and the rebound basically hit him Gall up high and bounced back into the net. I'm not quite sure how you prevent something like that.

Regarding Richards, I think the issue is people thinking that this team would be better off without him on the roster which is obviously is not the case, salary cap aside. However, we probably won't agree here
