Matthews
Mackinnion
Mcdavid
Hughes
Crosby

you must've threw up a little in your mouth to even put McDavid 3rd, I can't imagine how horrible that internal struggle to not leave McDavid off that list entirely must have been for you.

but not surprised to see you have Auston "one-trick pony" Matthews as your number #1. pretty sure he'd be higher than that if you could find a way to do it.

Boys, c'mon...only 4 votes for Point?

You're in the playoffs, game is on the line, and Brayden Point isn't one of your top five centers?

Same could be said of Crosby who I had at 5. Point could have 150 6th place votes but the poll just happens to have a top 5 cut off. No shame in being top10

I'd say it's very clearly the 3 M's. Then, in most cases, it's Leon. After that, it's a rotating position. Sometimes it's Jack's. Sometimes it belongs to Aleksander. Other times, it's Elias (but really JT), etc etc

If you didn't vote for McDavid in this poll because he's the obvious choice or whatever you need your rights revoked.
Same for the lone person who voted for Mika.

Ok you want points?

Career: Matthews 1.15 ppg, Barkov 0.96
This year: Matthews 1.38, Barkov 1.10
Last three seasons: Matthews 1.32, Barkov 1.2
Last five seasons: Matthews 1.27, Barkov 1.13

How about trophies?

Matthews: Calder, Rocket, Rocket, Hart, Lindsay

Barkov: Lady Byng, Selke

Who shut down Matthews in the 2nd round last year?
He had 2 assists in 5 games vs FLA.

I didn't ask that, who shut him down in that series, what C did he go up against?
You don't want to answer?
Bobrovsky shut him down.

Again, you'd rather focus on a one-week sample size rather than an entire career? Look, I like Barkov, and I'd have him five or six. But in no way is he better than Matthews. If your only argument is a random five-game sample size, then its not even worth my time debating with you.

No, I just prefer the Bergeron like player.
Matthews is a great player and goal scorer but I like Barkov's overall player makeup vs Matthews.

It’s absolute revisionist history to try to claim Barkov shutdown Matthews.
Bobrovsky did though. He had an unbelievable series.

There’s a much bigger difference between Matthews and Barkov offensively in 34s favour than there is defensively between the two.

Barkov’s peers view him as the most under rated. Many hockey fans haven’t figured it out yet. “Sure, he’s like, top 10-20.” They don’t see themselves underrating him. This other guy is comparing Barkov and Matthews at GPG and thinks he’s making a point lol.

No, he didn't like to talk about goals (for obvious reasons), so I compared points, which are still very much in Matthews' favour, literally every step of the way, including playoffs. After that, he claimed points don't matter either, LOL. Good talk, though.
