Proposal: Top 4 RHD to St. Louis in the offseason

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

They seem pretty set on the left side for now and in the pipeline but already tried to trade for him before so you never know.

None of the other names in here really seem like an upgrade to Faulk to me other than maybe Fabbro. If they are gonna do something might as well do something big and go for Dobson or someone similar.

Can’t agree with the Faulk being a 3rd pairing guy. He makes errors at times for sure. But any guy that’s reasonably available to the Blues this offseason is going to have bigger warts than Faulk. Most of them also won’t be capable of moving the puck, and the other group incapable of playing defense. Faulk is at least serviceable at both

You normally have very respected and measured assessments on players.

But saying that Faulk is a third pairing D is going way, way out on a limb here.

Faulk has been a solid 2nd pairing guy since the 4 Nations break but can he keep that kind of play up? He wasn't very good defensively for the 1.5 years before that. I'm ok with keeping him but would love to look for a young, emerging d-man who could start on the 3rd pairing and depending on his play could unseat Faulk. Think a David Jiricek or Brandt Clarke type. Or we do some sort of Faulk + assets for Petro swap if Vegas is actually looking to move on from him after this season
