Post your lists.

Personally interested, if Sergachyov will show up in any of the lists or is it too early (or will always be like that because he not of that caliber)
I heard a lot of good things about him this season

Hughes, Makar, Fox make up the top 3. Then a combination of Miro, Morrissey, Werenski, Josi would be on my list. Probably forgetting someone (its 7am). Theres also Hedman, Weegar, McAvoy, Bouchard, Dahlin. But as a sens fan ill throw Chabots name into the mix, not saying hes a top 10 defensemen but hes been incredible this season and is top 10 in various metrics among defensemen league wide

Better than Sanderson?

C'mon... Chabot...

Like, isn't Moritz Seider better than him (at the least, as good), and no one's suggesting Seider be on a top 10 list? What the heck.

Hughes
Makar
-
Werenski
Fox
-
Morrissey
Hedman
Heiskanen
Dahlin
Josi
Theodore
That's a good group there, pretty tough to argue any.

I would have Seider literally at #11, along with Carlson, Sanheim, Faber, Dobson rounding out the top 15.

I said in my post that im not saying hes a top 10 defensemen, he would have to play like he has for at least the entire season. Even then, he'd have to do it again next season. Just pointing out the fact that he is top 10 in various metrics among defensemen league wide.

Ide take Morrisey, Hedman , Weegar over Fox all day long.
Chabot wouldn't be in my top 20

This year he is miles ahead of Sanderson.

Whoever is playing with Nick Jensen ends up looking good in Ottawa.

He's really the most valuable piece on the blueline this season, but he's not a flashy point getter.

It looked like Chabot was absolutely cooked as a top defenceman in this league and he's had a miraculous turnaround thanks to his new partner.

The last guy who made Chabot look good was Dylan DeMelo, who Dorion shipped off to Winnipeg for no apparent reason. (although he was present in the infamous Uber)

Trying not to weight this year too heavily but:

Hughes
Makar

Fox

McAvoy
Hedman

Werenski
Josi
Dahlin
Morrissey
Carlson

Top two have clearly separated themselves from Fox IMO, who himself has separated from the rest of the pack. McAvoy is having a bad year but he and Hedman are the only two others I think are consistently in the next group. For the last 5 slots I think it rotates based off of who's playing better at the time so I weighed this season a bit more. Some names that I've seen that are no doubt good players but that I am lower on than consensus: Weegar, Heiskanen, Theodore. Doughty would've been in the last group over probably Morrissey or Dahlin if he wasn't hurt
