Value of: Tony DeAngelo UFA

I think your statement is objectively false. What do the nerd charts show for him this year
Personally find zero value in them. The guy whined after Torts scratched him for being a liability instead of taking it as a wake-up call that has defensive play isn't acceptable.

A player disagreed with a torts decision? In other words it was a day that ended in a Y?

Complaining publicly about a coach benching a player for atrocious defence isn't exactly a sign that he understands there's a need for improvement. He's been notorious for being a defensive liability since junior.

Wasn't the story at all. Flyers signed him for same reason that Islanders did - stop-gap while the younger players adjusted to the NHL.

He didn't play once the Flyers were eliminated; not due to anything he did or didn't do on the ice.

While his game has always been flawed defensively, he does have value as a puck mover and power play quarterback.

Not sure how you value that contract-wise but he is an NHL caliber defenseman.

the fact that people STILL feel the need to stand up for this guy is actually pretty hilarious

Not sure how many times someone needs to show you that they are a shitty person for you to actually believe it.

"Oh but he helped my terrible hockey team for a few weeks, all is absolved!" who gives a shit?

Dude, enough. We all know why you think he's a "terrible guy" its pretty obvious at this point.

For as much as the game and job have passed him by, Lou would have ran his ass out if he was in any way a problem this year. You should also at least know Lou isn't going to run a franchise on dumb political hackery.

"Didn't do anything bad in his < half a season with the Islanders"

hang the banner!

Some people simply cannot look at him as a hockey player who is well liked in every locker room hes been in.
