The going rate for trotz is any draft pick 2 years away. So maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder in 2027

Most of the season I would have guessed Trotz would be willing to just give him away. He has found ways to chip in more lately, even with his limited icetime. Considering his Cap hit, I'm still not sure the Preds could seek net positive value for him in a trade? The 4th round pick in 2027 seems like a reasonable compromise?
Don't get me wrong, this is entirely a coaching staff issue, Novak is a much better player than this, as evidenced by his previous seasons. But for whatever reason, he has been relegated in this season's lineup and hasn't had any consistent linemates or opportunity. The Preds seem deadset on tanking the value of certain players before disposing of them. It's maddening.
