I hope he's fine with a very cheap contract, if he's looking to sign here.

Curious to see where he would fit. Is he penciled into the 4th line if he makes it? Or are they hoping for more?

Like this move for Minny. Wonder if he will be playing top 9 minutes or be relegating to 4th line until there is an injury. Either way great depth move, assuming he signs a contract.

Good for him. I liked him for the first 1/3 of the season last year in MTL. He can still be a very effective 3rd line player in the the right role.

I'd suspect Zucker would have to be particularly bad during Training Camp for Fleischmann to start in the top 9.

Wild still need bodies for camp with the WCH. If he'll take a cheap contract, 4th line with a chance to move up when Parise is hurt and misses his 10+ games.

He was a very good player for Colorado years ago, always wished we could've kept him. Had my fingers crossed for this guy, until he joined the Wild.

No surprise. Boudreau loves Fleischmann, dating back to their time in Hershey together. Washington fans used to joke about Fleischmann being on the cover of Boudreau's book.

Good. I'll take that. Always liked TF's game. Hoping him playing for a coach he is comfortable with brings his game back up.

If he earns a spot, it's a solid move for Minnesota. Although, much like Versteeg, he's not quite the same player, I remember him well from his stint with the Panthers. A dependable addition for the 4th line who won't look out of place if he's moved up the lineup due to injuries.

I'll have fond memories of the Flesichmann-Desharnais-Weise line for a while before the whole season went to ****. I'd suspect he gets signed. He can still play.

Stewart? Fleischmann? How many more former Avs top 6 cast offs you guys trying to get there Minnesota? Hope they go after David Jones next.

Interesting.

How did he look with Chicago last year?

He was solid. Q loved him.

Actually, the biggest problem was that Q loved him TOO much, and kept moving him up the lineup, beyond where he was most effective.

He struggled a bit in the playoffs. Wasn't terrible, but wasn't as solid as he had been in the regular season.

Not really sure you could call Fleischmann an Avs cast off. He did exceptionally well in his short stint in Colorado, but the high altitude caused blood clotting, preventing him from finishing his season or staying in Denver.

I disagree and think he absolutely could still have played here as his clotting was brought under control. If it was so serious he wouldn't be flying everywhere and he'd be a healthy scratch every game he played against the Avs in Denver.

Regardless, if you think castoff is too harsh, maybe..."former top 6 Avs that had no business being in the top 6".

He was great for the first 25-30 games with Montreal. Played all situations effectively. Showed good creativity then everything went off the rails.
