To be fair, when is the last time we are able to sign big name UFA anyways? Mat Sundin?

The bigger issue is do they want to sign into a team that might be rebuilding in a year or two. Good players are looking for good teams to chase a cup while they still have the skills to attract those good teams interest. Vancouver is a big unknown.

I wouldn’t say we can’t, it’s more of a choice at this moment.

I think our demise is being way overblown especially this whole Quinn bs which Blake price had gone full troll at this point.

JR already said his comment was taken out of context and Quinn is on board yet Blake believes Tochett left because Quinn is gone and winning won't change his mind.
I mean that's BS and is his opinion and it paints Quinn in a light where he accepted the captaincy with every intention of leaving.

For Blake to put that out there without a shred of proof makes Quinn look terrible, imagine implying a guy of Quinns Character and drive would put playing with his brother over everything else.

Oh well I expect a much improved roster next year and word from the guy who used to be on nucks army and now works for the team is don't be surprised to see Willander signed as early as next week.

I don't mind that Canucks hasn't signed Willander yet. If I'm Diamond, and I know I have an extra avenue to create pressure for the team via Dhaliwal et al, why won't I do it? The players will sing my praises! It's up to the team to wrestle the leverage back by ignoring the noise around the team in the off season. Willander has no leverage and will play along with Diamond until it really threatens his development. As far as I can tell Willander is hyper intelligent. He will make the right decision for himself. Management should make the best decision for Canucks, and that is to wait it out.

I’m an enemy of the management team. So anything to embarrass JR I’m all for it.

the leverage switches back to the club now that he didn’t make the world team. What Willander is risking is a year of earning a large salary. As such, I expect he’ll be signed soon.

I could never understand anybody getting too pumped up over Mittelstadt. He's now on his third NHL team in Boston.....and didn't do much for them late in the season.

He finished the season with 15 goals and 25 assists. But his contract of $5.750 million doesn't expire until the end of the 2026-27 season. So it might be a contract the Bruins want to get out of from under.

But would Mittelstadt help the Canucks all that much?. Seems like a bit of a perimeter player to me.
