Prospect Info: Toledo Walleye Discussion Thread?

Toledo running into a buzz saw, best team in the Coast this year. Season probably ends here, but what a good run and encouraging season for Cossa moving forward.

Yeah, only 11 regulation losses in the regular season is tough to beat.

Heard something about they had to sleep in the arena before game 2? No excuse to be shutout again but definitely a weird scenario.

Toledo loses their 1st Game of the Postseason and 1st game of the Conference Finals 3-0

Cossa 2 GA 30 Saves

What a bust!!! True star goalies can score goals to keep their teams in it.

That seems to be what happened, check out this twitter thread, it’s crazy:

Can confirm that Boise has a major bedbug problem. I went there on a work trip in 2019 and when I woke up with itchy bites everywhere I tossed out my suitcases and took everything I owned to a wash and fold in town. I make sure to check under everything in hotels now.

He's tied for first in the ECHL in p/g for U24 skaters.
Those are pretty great stats.
In the history of Toledo Walleye, only one U24 skater has matched that.
So, I think he's earned a better look.

If you have to qualify your stats for p/g of players under the age of 24 in the ECHL, the guy isnt that good. Maybe he'll get a shot ith Grand Rapids sure, but goaliescan luck into 3 assists in 30 games.

Yeah, I am fine with giving Tyutyayev another look in Grand Rapids, particularly if the big guns end up on the Detroit roster and the Toledo coach also ends up in Grand Rapids. I suspect that Tyutyayev is a power play specialist, his plus minus numbers haven't been all that great given how many points he has been putting up prior to this series.

and seasons over Toledo loses 2 in a row at home. Better luck next year again.

Tough game for Cossa to end the season, pulled after 4 goals on 9 shots. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Barton went point per game in the playoffs, lets see if he can show more of that in GR possibly under Watson.

They face either Florida Everblades, defending champions, 3-times in a row actually or Trois-Rivières Lions.
