Kevyn Adams gave a press conference where he said the team has the talent it needs, no big trades coming. Then the Sabres play even worse in the following game(s).

Terry Pegula gives the team a speech, telling them he believes in Kevyn Adams and the players, don’t expect a big trade. Then the team goes out and plays possibly its worst game of this (soon to be 11 game) losing streak.

Have the players just lost total confidence in management?
Honestly, if I was a player if an owner came in and gave a vote of confidence to KA, and backhandedly to the team, my thought would be this guy is a clown. Stay healthy, don’t get injured and hopefully I can wait out the contract term and get out. They know change is needed. At least those that have been outside this organization. Kevyn’s core maybe not so much.

“When we were in detailed discussions with Jason and how we felt we needed to move forward — effectively, efficiently and economically running this franchise — we felt that there were too many differences in opinion,” Pegula said then.

He then added, “I’m not going to sit here and, you know, dish on Jason Botterill, but we have a vision and we want to see our vision succeed.”
- Terry Pegula

And that’s why nothing will change…

If I was in a department at work that was objectively an abject failure, and an executive came in and gave us a thumbs up and said no changes were going to be made I would probably look for a new job.
