I mean the fanbase expects nothing less than the playoffs. Press has primed us that life will be better in the east. They are on the hotseat to produce. These are tricky waters to navigate (bob, pros pal, 1st end picks, etc). We ultimately won't know the results these decisions drive until well into the comming season. Arace's comments reinforce the notion that they can't screw this up. While I understand their position on Prospal I'm left asking myself are we seeing early signs of unraveling last years step forward. The recent revelations in the St. Louis media regarding the sense of entitlement of the blues young core is concerning. After all we've heard so much about the role Jarmo and JD played in the crafting of that current group. Jury is still out on the gabby trade IMHO. Still not sold on shipping the trio we did for a talented well travelled oft injured star who is definitely going to draw less interest on his next contract and would likely fetch less of a return as a rental at the trade deadline. So in trouble just means these moves JD And Jarmo make are critical. Fans will vote with their feet and wallets if the cumulative effect of all decisions yield less than a playoff appearance.

I think that's a fair enough concern.

But I don't think it's accurate to label Gaborik well-travelled. Jackets are his 3rd team.

Richards performance last season earned him the right to not be a lame duck coach.

My only major objections to Richard's performance last season were the number of undeserved minutes given to #18 and giving Sieve Mason too many unnecessary chances to prove that he was, yet again, awful.

Fixed it for you.

I agree Umberger played too much.

I disagree on the Mason thing because up until Bob started playing out of his mind I thought they were about equal in stats. At certain points some of us were saying Mason was outplaying Bob.

Once Bob caught fire, I don't think mase started another game(?)
