It changed everyone. Before winning the Cup, fans had no expectations of this team. Now it's constant doomsaying.Only downside to winning the cup was it destroyed Fox. He was never the same after the Kings won the cup. Very strange, I still don't get why it changed him so much as an analyst.

Maybe he still is for the Ducks broadcast, but anytime I've heard him while playing the Kings (since the second cup), he hasn't been bad.I never noticed the change in Jim Fox's analysis until Alex Faust stepped in, though I do think he's been pretty fair and critical of the team as of late. Jarret Stoll and Sean O'Donnell also don't tend to sugarcoat things.
But none will ever match the homerism and smugness of Brian Hayward.

Jim Fox went from being, IMO one of the best and most impartial color analysts in the NHL to being a full blown homer on the level of Hayward and Bob Errey.Changed how?

Oh, that's interesting. I thought I was pretty sensitive to that kind of thing, but hadn't noticed it. I'll watch out for it a bit more closely.Jim Fox went from being, IMO one of the best and most impartial color analysts in the NHL to being a full blown homer on the level of Hayward and Bob Errey.
Perhaps his bosses told him to become like that, who knows, but there was certainly a change in how he broadcasted. And it's gotten even worse since Bob retired.
He gets all horny and excited about plays more than he used to. He always had his little “whoa!!” moments, and he was obviously pro-Kings but there used to be at least a veiled attempt to be objective and not be a whiny fan boy. That’s all gone now and he’s like an excited puppy version of Hayward. Also there are SO many cringeworthy attempts at humor between him and Faust. These aren’t funny guys at all. The broadcast is really in the shitter.Oh, that's interesting. I thought I was pretty sensitive to that kind of thing, but hadn't noticed it. I'll watch out for it a bit more closely.
Think he has 2This is the exact reason why Foxy always wears his Stanley Cup ring when they play at the Ducks Arena!!
Wait, what happened to Sean O'Donnell? I admittedly don't watch the Kings' broadcasts as much these days but I haven't seen him in a few years from my memory. I honestly forgot he was on the broadcasts. Is he still on and if so during what segment(s)?
Who the f*** brags about a ring won as a broadcaster? I 'met' Hazey one night at Mr.Ks in OC with a good buzz going. Chirped him good for this. He was not amused by my friends and I.
We complain about Foxy a lot but the guy is f***ing Vin Scully standing next to that Newport Beach douchebag.
I met him at Wise Guys in Orange, prob around 2013. Same thing, he was a bit trashed, but we had some fun ribbing each other.
I've always found Hayward to be horrible with the Ducks broadcasts...however, I actually find him to do a pretty good job when he was working the olympics, or just other games that weren't the Ducks.

My experience was 2015ish. I told him Foxy should shove his two rings up his ass.I met him at Wise Guys in Orange, prob around 2013. Same thing, he was a bit trashed, but we had some fun ribbing each other.

Riddle: what is Hayward's favorite classical author?
Ding ding dingDid he write the Iliad and the Odyssey?
